Short Term Versus Long Term Rentals

Why are there 174 short term rentals as opposed to 10 long term available in Sligo town and surroundings?

It could be the taxation, but “the devil is in the details”, on that one.

So, what gives?

Well, a one-bedroom apartment on High Street was renting long term for 900 per month (it’s probably gone by now) which is 10,800 per year.

A one bedroom in Quayside was renting for 131 per night, this week, which takes 82 nights to make the same yearly figure of 10.800 that the long term rental makes.

That answers my question.
