The Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant
Progress Report
The Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant (also known as The Croí Cónaithe scheme) provides funding to refurbish vacant and derelict homes in all rural and urban areas in Ireland. 10/10
You can get up to €30,000 to renovate a vacant property and an additional top-up grant of up to €20,000 if the property is derelict. 10/10
To get the grant you must live in the home as your principal residence when the work is completed. If you decide to sell the home or rent it out within 10 years of getting the grant, you will have to pay the local authority back. The amount you repay depends on how long you’ve lived there. 10/10
